1 MW solar power plant built by Hevel Group was commissioned at Gazprom Neft’s refinery facility, located in Siberia’s Omsk region. 2 500 solar modules were mounted on unused areas, as well on roof and façade of adjacent infrastructure.
The PV project boasts Hevel’s bifacial heterojunction solar modules fixed on tracker systems that will maximize electricity output.
“The development program of Omsk refinery focuses on bringing innovations to all spheres in order to achieve the best result. We implement automation in manufacturing processes, safe cleaning systems and, power infrastructure, of course. The modern production facility definitely should be not only efficient, but eco-friendly. So the solar power plant at Omsk refinery – is an appropriate sample of such an approach,” stated Oleg Belyavsky, CEO of Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery.
“Solar PV plant supplies additional power to Omsk Refinery that enables improvement in energy efficiency and ecology by means of usage of vacant areas at the site. Due to solar irradiance in Omsk region the solar power system will generate 1.2 mln kWh annually”, said Oleg Shutkin, deputy CEO of Hevel Group.
